“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – Christopher Robin
My clients are typically teens (15+), adults or seniors (65+) struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, and life transitions. I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)- the gold standard treatment for OCD. In addition, I have experience and a special interest in working with individuals or their loved ones as they navigate significant illness, grief/loss or other issues stemming from receiving complex medical care. I believe that as the patient, you are in the drivers’ seat, and I am helping you read the map. There are multiple routes we can take, and together we will find the best one for you
In addition to this, I have a special interest in working with individuals or their loved ones as they navigate significant illness, grief/loss or other issues stemming from receiving complex medical care. Medical journeys are often scary and fraught with obstacles, and I strive to be a therapeutic partner as you or a loved one find your way through.
I draw from various systems and theoretical frameworks including narrative therapy, family systems, client-centered, solution-focused, grief counseling, motivational interviewing, strengths-based, and more. I believe that you know yourself best and value your input as we develop the most effective way of working towards your goals. If you don’t know what your goals are- that’s OK too. We will work together to discover them.
