Coralanne Hocking, LICSW (she/her) is a queer Thai-American cisgender woman who settled in the Boston area by way of Texas. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston where she completed a trauma-informed care fellowship. With over a decade of experience, she uses a wide range of techniques from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Her approach is strength-based, intersectional, and anti-racist. She has supported clients dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and life transitions across various demographics, including children, teens, young adults, parents, families, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Coralanne prioritizes relationships that embrace openness, vulnerability, and acceptance of human complexities. She values imperfection, self-compassion, flexibility and setting boundaries for personal growth. In therapeutic relationships, she fosters trust, safety, and reflection, inviting clients to explore their narratives and identities with curiosity. She believes everyone’s story, identities, and feelings are worthy and important. When she’s not providing therapy, you can find Coralanne on the dance floor, in the kitchen honing her cooking skills or at an art exhibit.
