SPARK Kindness, Natick, MA
SPARK offers a community of resources with a mission to “build kind, empowered & inclusive communities where no child or family feels alone, bullied, unsupported or unconnected.” SPARK supports families, schools, coaches, artists, faith and community leaders in creating a culture that empowers youth and promotes kindness and respect through projects, initiatives, forums and classes in the Boston MetroWest area.
Natick 180, Natick, MA
Natick 180 continues the work of the Natick Opioid Task Force and Natick Together for Youth (NTY), two groups that aim to provide aid to those in Natick with substance use disorder and provent further spread of the drug epidemic. From their mission statement, Natick 180 works to “address factors contributing to substance use disorder, such as mental health, stigma, and racism; provide assistance to those who are currently experiencing addiction; empower members of the recovery community through inclusion in decision-making and leadership roles; and build up community characteristics and create a culture of equitable access to connectedness and belonging that protect against substance use disorder.”
Natick Service Council, Natick, MA
Natick Service Council is an advocacy, referral, case management, and information center serving the most economically disadvantaged members of the Natick community. The council helps clients meet basic needs for food, housing, and access to health care with the goal of promoting self-sufficiency. Various services are available such as case management, emergency financial assistance, behavior and substance abuse screening programs, career development and training programs, holiday programs, afterschool enrichment for youth, and access to local art programs, shows and camps.
Hopeful Hearts for Teens, Natick, MA
We are thrilled to partner with Hopeful Hearts for Teens, a Natick-based organization run by teens, sponsoring teens affected by mental health issues whose families struggle to afford treatment. HH4T provides up to $160/teen toward copays for outpatient therapy. HH4T has monthly fundraising events which can be followed on their website as well as their instagram. The organization also aims to raise awareness of the intersectionality of class and mental health.
